This class is about taking the skills of basic figure drawing and anatomy from prior classes, and developing them further by creating longer studies of the model over multiple sessions.

Over the course of 5 weeks, students will complete two drawings of the model (a 2-day study and a 3-day study) these longer poses allow deeper investigation into anatomy and form.

This class is a continuation of prior courses “the art of the block-in” and “figure drawing structure & anatomy” but it is NOT required to have taken those courses to sign up for this class. This course continues into “figure drawing: the art of the long pose.”

This class is ideal for those with some experience drawing from life looking to push their skills to the next level.
