A Six Week Class of Creating an Expressive Art Quilt: Everyone can experience the wonderful creativity of making a piece of art that expresses beauty, a place, an emotion, or a personality. This class is appropriate for people who have never quilted and those with lots of experience. Everyone can learn new techniques and have a rewarding experience. I firmly believe everyone is creative in their own way and can enjoy the experience creating art using textiles, paint, and stitching. Familiarity with a basic sewing machine is useful. Free motion technique is taught.
Learning objectives of this class will include:
Use acrylic paint on fabric to create skies, oceans, and streams for a landscape piece or use paint and collage to create a figurative figure. Teacher coaches you best techniques
Learning the stages of creating an art quilt, learning composition, collage techniques, painting on fabric, and free motion sewing.
